Physical Education and Health

Physical Education I (Fitness PE) – 5 Credits
This class is designed to increase the overall fitness level of the student. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the following units: running/interval training, air alert jumping program, aerobics unit utilizing the Insanity DVD series, weight training, cycling, jump rope, kickball, etc.

Physical Education II (Intramural Sports PE) – 5 Credits
This class is a general introduction of techniques, rules, and strategies for the following sports: flag football, volleyball, floor hockey, basketball, soccer, softball, and kickball.

Physical Education III – 5 Credits
This class is designed to be a general introduction of both techniques and rules of several lifetime and recreational activities that the student may participate in without having to join a recreational league. This course covers the skills and development in activities such as golf, frisbee golf, croquet, ladder ball, bean bag toss, ping pong, foosball, horse shoes, cycling, pickle ball, badminton, kickball, etc.

Acrolights – 5-10 Credits
A gymnastics group that works on advanced skills in both tumbling and pyramid-building techniques with emphasis on performance. Acrolights can count for a PE class for up to two years. Fee $110.
